The Bend Bulletin made it sound like a rebuild, when in fact it's going to be a new lift for the most part. There will be new terminals and grips while the towers, chairs and a few other things will be reused.

I think Rick Brooks told me it was going to be a UNI-GL.

It's the UNI-G terminal, but the longer model since it will be height adjustable for increasing snow depths.

Work continues on the new gondi at Breck. Here is the top terminal in the old skier dropoff at Peak 8. One bolt cage is built and ready for placement, and it appears that the footing is almost completely dug out.

They actualy are using the old bus area for the station the skier drop off is on the other side of the berm in the background, so I assume that they will leave that as drop off.

Roundtop is showing the progress of the replacement of their fife and drum chairlift. The new lift will be a Doppelmayr CTEC fixed triple.

Was in Aspen this weekend to pick up some Gondola Cabins the big buyer of 84 cabins couldn’t unload them fast enough and aspen needed there parking lot back so all of us on the waitlist got a cabin at the original price. While there I got the low down on Snowmass. LPOA has completed foundations on the mid terminal and top terminal and has installed the bottom terminal and the three legs of the top terminal. Multiple tower foundations are also complete. Funnel lift was removed by Ski Lifts Unlimited and the lift is going to Iran :wacko2: . Assay hill lift is going up to Juno. The new Assay hill Quad will have a new LPOA Alpha drive and a new ideal return. The towers are from the old Fanny hill HSQ as are the sheave assemblies I forgot to ask about the chairs but they may also be from Fanny. The Naked lady lift is for sale and in a state of vertical storage though still certified for use. Snowmass is planning on doing at least one lift build a summer for the next four years mostly replacing older equipment. Thanks to Dave for the info. I have some pictures of the gondola build and the old Funnel packing area will post them tonight.

The Marketoids now have their construction diary going for the Snow Ghost Express at Big White.
The quote may be a little off, I think I did use the words the, and, & with. I will try to get some pictures of the lovely rock gardens where the footings will be in the next couple of weeks.
The diary is at:

yah dave could have been messing with me when he said it is going to Iran you would have to ask George of Skilifts Unlimeted where its going because He is doing the take down and shipment. I gess it could be said that Funnel Lift if it is going to Iran would have the unfortunate possibility of being bombed twice.

Looks like things are rolling at Mt. Bachelor. The terminal skin is removed, and there is a crane. Also some chairs are off.

Construction photos from 49 Degrees North's new chair 5/Sunrise lift. They bought it (slightly, as I understand) used from Mt Ashland.

If you look in the third pic that skier posted, The lift has CTEC sheave trains. So that might rule out the possibility of it being from Mamoth although I am not sure if mamoth had any ties with Garaventa CTEC until the merger. The only yan triple that has been removed that I know of that has those type of sheave trains is the germania lift at alta.
