Is it just me or do these windows look different than on other L-P terminals?

Yep, there are now more windows spaced closer together compared to former Omega terminals.
I think Leitner was doing this with some of its terminals over in Europe too. I presume the reason why is because there is less strain on the windows which prevents them from cracking when there is a lot of weight on them from snow and ice.

I've been following the Buck project too. I was there yesterday, and the cable was spliced and running, they were putting on the cable monitors, and they were getting ready to hang the chairs. Also, they had finished with the dirt in the terrain park and were planting trees and rolling out grass seed bales off of the backside above the road for the watertower.

They have done a pretty good job this year at Buck. Did you happen to see what happened with the old Hall double?

East Ridge Chair and More Lift Capacity This winter skiers and riders will be able to access Rendezvous Bowl, Corbet's Couloir and the backcountry gates via the Bridger Gondola and a series of chairlifts including the new East Ridge Chair.
The East Ridge Chair will rise 600 vertical feet from the top of the Sublette Chairlift to just below Corbet's Cabin. This temporary double chairlift will take skiers and snowboarders up Rendezvous Bowl this winter and until a permanent tram replacement lift is installed.
In addition to construction of the East Ridge Chair, JHMR is adding capacity to the Bridger Gondola and Thunder Chair to ensure seamless mountain access next winter. The Bridger Gondola will have 18 more cabins and Thunder Chair will have 16 more chairs added. From the base, the Gondola will now offer an uphill capacity of 2400 skiers per hour (vs. 1800 previously) - this increase alone will be double the uphill capacity per hour of the tram!

I wonder if the East Ridge chair will replace the Eagle's Nest lift after it's removed?

I think it is slated to be installed to the ridge above the Gondola, pending Forest Service Approval.

Wow!
I don't think I've ever seen an 8t/8d assembly before. There must be quite a big span there.
I didn't realize that Jackson Hole got covered in that much snow. That's 8 feet up there.

Yep! The Hall double is in the graveyard/maintenance lot if you go behind the top of the halfpipe-there is a service road that comes off of the access road from the south that also leads to it, or if you climb down to the road that goes to the water tower and walk down, you'll literally run right into half of the parts of the double. It is planned to be reinstalled in the beginner area:( It's a piece of crap and needs to be trashed!

Yea, that thing is a serious peice of crap. It is so rusty that it never quite seemed to look operational. It is also the loudest lift at Buck. Couldn't they gut the electric drive and controls because they were upgraded by Doppelmayr in 2003. Then try to find a used double chair. I think the cost would probably be close to reinstalling and fixing up the old Hall double.

Gondola cars are starting to arive at Breckenridge! They look like POMA cars instead of CWA but I'm not sure.
