Well Snow King is in the city of Jackson. The two ski areas are like 5 miles apart or something.

Judging by the names on the trail sign, I would say that that is the Blackfoot lift at Grand Targhee.

Check out these Riblet towers. I wonder why Riblet stopped making them. Hey Bill this is the lift that the Pucci triple replaced. Remember the terminal foundation you found there. :)

I know you guys are going to hate me for this but, Riblet towers are the ugliest thing I have ever seen. :help:

that circular bar on the towers makes them look weird in my opinion

The circular bar is on a lot of them, if not all. I agree, they are ugly, but only because of that curved bar.

Well that bar can only be found on the double chairs.

i could see its use on lifts with high crosswinds but what else is it good for?

I don't know, I think it was a safety issue probably back in the day because they didn't want to have a chair hit a tower plus i think the older style double chairs were kind of bouncy.

Not much. And even with crosswinds, it doesn't seem to hit the bar

They may be ugly, but i like them. When all towers these days are just tubes, these are slightly different. They are like a blast from the past
