The Moab Scenic Sky Eide was removed in 2005 after the state of Utah purchased the land beneath it. The Moab Gondola was constructed in 1999 and never got a permit from the state to begin operations. the planned restaurant at the top was never constructed .The lift cost three million dollars and was "completed" in 2001. Surprisingly, the lift is in extremely good shape. Here is a Remontees Mecaniques page on the gondola.
