Would it matter , quality wise, if a new lift was a manufacturer "turn key" install or a ski area " in house" install. Or having a contractor like Mad River Lifts , Outback, or Highlander ?

There are advantages to all. A turnkey installation should be guaranteed to be done on time, since the manufactuers themselves are building the lift. If you build it yourself and it's not done on time, or there are mistakes in construction, you have no-one to blame but yourself. However, you provide your own crew and probably pay less that way, and it's a good experience for all involved especially the guy whose lift it will be the following winter. A third-party crew has the advantage of building lifts constantly, so they will probably be more efficient in putting the thing up.
