Super Bee does this as well, especially on cold mornings when the oil gets thick. I wonder if it's a Kissling issue, since the Bee is a Poma while Quincy is a CTEC?

Running all day on diesel isn't really that bad. But I suppose I'm biased since for years that's all I had to work with... :devil:

Here's a brief explanation of the T-Bar... Go to the bottom terminal - check the usual stuff, gearbox oil/motor/safeties. Power up 3 panels and day/nite switch. Go to the top, dig out the counterweight + clean the carriage. Test the two stops & Safety gate. Ride the lift line down on skidoo checking for alignment and missing T parts, go flying past tower 4 at about 60km/h - it's at the bottom of the steep section - turn around go back and look at tower 4, because it's one of the two most likely to derail. Stop at tower 3 and test midstation stop, continue on the way to the bottom. Run lift & test stops. Run lift again and pull down each T making sure their brakes work, otherwise the T will flip over the haul rope. Remove any from the line that are doubtful and replace them with the spares. Come back two hours later when it derails and tell everyone to go home ;) Which is what I'm looking forward to tonight!!

If you're asking about Ruby...it doesn't de-rail at all. I'm talking about the carrier coming into the terminal. The rails are just a little off so it rocks the chair slightly. No big deal, it just gets on our nerves.

so when it derails, it is basically closed for the rest of that day?

It is, it takes a while to get the haul rope back on, if it happens at night - it stays derailed until the morning :)

Is this the bottom terminal you're talking about, for the chairs coming in? I noticed it too.

The CTEC sixes at PCMR rock side to side a lot, too

I haven't spent much time at Ruby's bottom terminal. (Unless there is a cute lift chick and then I'm not looking at the lift) When I'm around Ruby I have a flagstaff day which means I'm in charge of Quincy, Red Cloud, Northside, Ruby, and Little Chief. When I check pressures, and temperatures throughout the day is when I notice the chair rocking coming into the rails. We'll get to it this summer :)

If it is left the way it is, would it eventually damage the chairs?

Probably not. What may happen is the lateral roller (the one on the outside of the grip) may wear prematurely, but there are so many rubber dampers on modern carriers that any shock is mostly absorbed.

Is the reason the Agmatic grip is so much smoother than the AK4.0 because of new dampening stuff, or because of the design of the grip?
