My question for discussion is: what is the longest lift that you have been on. It can either be in time or in length. Mine are:
Longest in time: Highline lift at Vail (takes about 15 min)
Longest in distance: American Flyer at Copper (9907 feet)
These are just the longest lifts that I have been on. That's why I want to hear from you!

I've been on the Longest HSQ in the world: The Slide Brook Express @ Sugarbush, VT 11,012 ft long (15 minute ride)
and the longest gondola in NE: The Skyeship Gondola @ Killington, VT 12,958 ft long

Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

I think that Village Gondi is longer. It is over 16,000 feet.

Gem lake is half the distance of The Vilage gondola, both in vertical and length.
For me Until Two days ago it would have been the Sunshine Gondola (14 000 ft long) and probably Gem Lake (right around 10 minutes of ride time)
Now it's the Village Gondola at Whistler for both.

Village gondi at Whistler, no idea how long but the second stage alone has 40-some towers. Longest fixed-grip would be chair 10 at Vail- although I didn't mind the time as my legs hurt after several of those runs.

Alot of new people to Whistler think that the midstation is the top of the mountain the first time they come! I prefer Fitz and Garbanzo cause it doesnt seem sooo long then plus theres normally no line for Fitz.

Silver Queen at Crested Butte and Storm Peak at Steamboat in regards to vertical count for me (they both have 2,000 foot vertical rises)
Distance wise, the Beaver Run SuperChair at Breckenridge counts.
I haven't been on them, but map measurements tell me that about a lot of Snowmass's high speed quads are pretty long. Sheer Bliss is about the same length as Beaver Run (1.7 miles). Big Burn and Elk Camp are about 1.5 miles (for midmountain lifts, that's long). I could go on longer, but still...
Riva Bahn at Vail counts in distance.
