Last I checked, pissing off school administrators wasn't a felony, and that's the only kind of probation that Immigrations Canada is worried about. They could care less if you blew up at your principal...

Stay out in Auburn and go to the Black Diamond Bakery (oohhh so good)

Iceberg, you have great taste. How did you find the Black Diamond Bakery when you're from SLC? You know it's a good place when they name one of their breads after a ski area (Crystal Mountain Sourdough) :D

As I said in my dinasour post I praciticly live in Auburn in the summer (all of our relitives live up there) and that is why I could help rebuild the dinasour any way.

The Black Diamond Bakery is about five minutes away from my grandma's land (all 88 acres of it) so you have to get bread and donuts every once in a while.

Sounds like you get to go at a good time- spring skiing in WA can be quite good. The Silver Skis are a good place to stay as well; the Hartfords keep the place up. It's not too from the slopes.

4 days at Crystal, mid-week and a weekend sounds pretty nice.
The huge ski school hordes will be over, so you won't have a total crowd out on Saturday. Enjoy the mountain, hope you get a clear day so you can check out Rainer.

Go to Whistler! it's only a 2.5 very scenic, I mean very scenic, drive over the Canadian/American Border. If you come to Whistler I suggest staying at either one of the two Delta Hotels, or the Marriot.

Yes i agree, theres lots of terrain to ski on but try not to go on weekends, it is very busy :D

Go to Alpental GO TO ALPENTAL

Before Alpental i had never skied outside of Utah and I thought alpentale was better than many Utah resorts. Also they rate the runs right. Internationale is a double black diamond anywhere.

I was at Alpental in 2000 when they just installed the Armstrong Express for a PNSA race. I thought the mountain was good, although it's not that big. Your pretty limited too on where to ski. However, I didn't explorer the whole mountain but I did do that double black diamond. That was a fun run, espically in SPANDEX. :---:

Yeah terrain is limited and you can ski the entire resort in two hours if you hurry but it really has outstanding terrain

No visuals, please... :---: The terrain off chair 1 (Armstrong) can be a blast in the right conditions, although that's true of just about anywhere in the northwest. It's especially fun at night. I always hate to see an old lift go down, but having a detachable in that alignment definitely helps Alpental. The old chair 1 (which was called Debbie's Gold- go figure) was a Riblet identical to the remaining lifts there, and it seemed to take forever.

My guess is that you didn't go up top and go down International. If you do that run your opinion might change a bit........ All runs from the top of chair 2 are double blacks (no easy way down as the sign says)..... and on powder days the place is awesom. On hardpack/ice days the place can be very scary........and is best to be avoided on these type days.

No, I went down Adrenalin and then went down Felsen. It was all moguls when I went down it so it was ok. Willamette Pass has like the steepest runs in the Northwest, RTS. Once you go down RTS all the time, everything seems simple, except cliffs. I just thought International was inbetween upper and lower.

When I was up there they had great snow (for Washington at least that's what they said) and all the runs off Edelwiess (Chair one) were tough but a blast . International on the other hand was the steepest run I hav been on and that includes STH at Snowbird. It was a little rocky on thhe top and was one tough run. Not one you could do more than twice a day. It was fun once you got down it but looking down and seeing people crash again and again on they're way down was not fun.

Great Resort all in all though
