I have a few postcards of three old Herons at breck. I know for a fact that there is a run known as old lift 2 liftline. I am not sure if it exists anymore. It isn't on trail maps anymore. The line itself is there. A few tower foundations are there too. They can be seen in the summer off the colorado superchair. They are to the left on fairly steep terrain. (black diamond) They are dark green but the paint is chipping. They are a little bit before the depresion sheaves on the liftline. The post cards I have are of lifts 1, 2, and a lift that I think is lift 1 but am not sure. (they have postcard labels on the back) I will get them this summer when I go to mountain bike. Then when I come back home I can scan them in. Maybe while I mountain bike I can get the tower foundation pics!!!

You can still ski the chair 2 lift line, It has never been listed as a run on the map. The lift 2 lift line has been known around the mountain as Lower Callies Alley. The sign for the upper part is new within the last few years. The char 1 lift line can also be skied and is listed as Boreas both on maps and with mountain signage. You can also sometimes ski the Chair 3 lift line although it hasnt been opened in a few years. It was previously known as 7-up, it is no longer being kept clear so it leads me to believe that they are revegitating the trail. I'll get pics of the lines next time I ski Breck.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.
"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

Hi: The last time I skied Breck there was a sign for the entrance to #2 lift line. I tlooke dmore like a "memorial" sign than a real trail sign.
BTW, I know the history of how the #2 lift came to be (#1 should have been adequate) if anyone wants to hear it. Mildly entertaining to non-Breck experts.
Cheers, TCS (trivia are us)
