I went back to my old stomping ground this week for a ski, took some shots

Nice pic of the old ??? with the newer Leitner in the background. How was your trip "home"? Snow looks good!

Trip back home was great. The blue lift is an old Murray-Latta double with a mid station. They shut it down about 7 years ago I believe.

What is it with canadian resorts and not completely removing lifts?

Seriously though, it seems that every lift that is shut down in bc is still visible. It was not but a little while ago that the last of granite at red was removed.

Nope, parts of Granite still stand today.

I think Kimberely and Red are the only ones that have lift remains still standing.

It's more expensive to take them out. So we just leave them in until there is a buyer

That makes a grand total of two riblet lifts in Alberta, unless there are more i'm not aware of.

The old chair at Hollyburn was left to rot, so was the first lift at grouse.
