Greenline was prbably removed in 1996, after the Quicksilver accident.

Those Doppelmayr quad chairs with footrests look pretty nice

Nice shot of the Greenline. That's the only Yan detachable I've ever ridden- Whistler hadn't pulled out the old Creekside gondola, the Olive chair, or the Red chairs when they built the Greenline. The pic also answers a question I've had- what type of line machinery Yan put on his detaches. It looks the same as his later fixed-grips, with the funky-looking sand-cast assemblies.

removed in the summer of 1997. the used for a while after the accident.
Oh and bu the way, It's name was just the green chair, not greenline. you are probably thinking of the former redLINE.

Ya, those sheaves on the Greenline lift are my favorte Yan ones. The Friendly Giant at LL had them, I dont know if it still does. Also DV's Viking FGT has them inside the end terminal

Unfortunately for Yan, those sheaves and assemblies looked good but were prone to cracking. Most lifts that originally had them have been retrofitted.

Good job finding that picture of the Green Express. I have to say that I think those weird sheave assemblies look rather ugly. The older Yan assemblies look much better.

Bottom terminal of Resolution (A-1 lift). This is the same lift that Brad shot the pic of the 16-sheave depression tower. The portal on this has 12.

Yup. The only reason I was on the chair was because I was lost. As it turned out, the snow was fantastic as long as you stayed in the trees for some visual definition. :help:
