What are the ugliest and nicest looking high speed lift unloading or loading stations in your opinion?
If you have any pictures, I'd like to see them!

I think the ugliest are the Garaventa CTEC stations at Vail.

The Nicest looking stations I think are the new Dopplmayr CTEC Stations are really cool looking!

I like the UNI-GS from CTEC. I didn't like it first, but it's grown on me

Blah, UNI-GS BAD!!!

UNI-G Good.

Even though the two terminals are exactly the same inside, the UNI-GS has no aesthetics I think. It looks like a terminal that's from the late 80s rather than something from today. I understand that's it's quite a bit cheaper than the UNI-G model and that's probably why it looks cheap, but I think that Doppelmayr CTEC could have done a better job at skinning it. However, I heard that the UNI-GS was actually designed by Doppelmayr/Garaventa rather than Doppelmayr CTEC.

Of course these are just my views and opinions so I hope no one who works for Doppelmayr CTEC is offended. I just prefer the UNI-G 99.9% over the UNI-GS, because it looks a lot better in my opinion.

I've grown to like it, probably only because I've been on a lot of them compared to very few UNI-G lifts. However, it is way too big, and the bottom part does look a little strange. From far away, it looks like a semi truck next to a minivan, the tiny little Stealth 3

I actually like the Poma Competition terminals from the late 80s and early 90s. Lots of windows (which doesn't hurt from a maintenance perspective inside the terminal, either) and a clean design.

I'm kinda of a fan of the new Poma Omega style terminals (at least that's what I think they are called). I agree with Cameron though: UNI-G: good, UNI-GS: Bad!

I'm a stealth guy myself along with UNI-G and I add to the contingency here that holds that the UNI-GS isn't that great.

Editted for picture placement. (I hit enter between the two images so they would be one on top of the other.)

I think that Doppelmayr in the second photo design looks like a civil war ironclad.

I wonder if it is as seaworthy as the old Ironclads?

"Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish—a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow—to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested . . . Res ipsa loquitur (it speaks for it self). Let the good times roll." HT
