Huh 550? Wonder what you could buy cabins for from the manufactuers. Although more then likely no one is looking at these in the lets go build a lift sense and more of a lawn ortament or something to that extent.

Cabins from the manufacturer? Easily into the thousands. Most of those who buy these use them for benches (chairs) and such. Maybe some companies buy them for decoration (ie ski shops etc).

Definately being sold as decorations or nostagia items. With the hours on them, it would cost a ton to make them servicable.
New OMEGA III cabins run $12-15K depending on options!!

I'd want one of those. I love Aspen's gondola, such a cool, unique design. WHY are they changing it to make it look like everyone elses? Can't they at least put in an updated design of the egg cabins?

I can't believe a guy spent $44,000 on cabins. If he does sell them on ebay, hopefully he will be able to sell them all.

Does this mean that the demo cabin that sits in the Aspen Theater will be removed at sold too and replaced with a new Omega 3. If so, there's another cabin up for grabs. :)

The joke here in aspen is that the cabins are the only items that the skico has ever underpriced, plus, with one guy buying 84 of them you got to think he is turning them over with some markup what ealse could he do with them?

The guy that bought half of the Aspen gondola cabins is actually usuing them to display his products at the ski shops in the Midwest Region. However, he could be selling a few of them to cover his costs of buying them.
