Well, I finally got to go skiing this weekend. I took some pictures for your enjoyment.

A snowmaker at boyne. I have concluded that Nubs Nob is much better about not making snow on runs that people ski on.

one of the hybrid carriers. The way to tell the difference is this lift has grips instead of Riblet clips.

This is as close as I could get to as far as a close up of the grips. They kind of look like the Garaventa AK 400.

That is all for now. I could have gotten more but it was cold and I didn't feel like taking my glove off that much.

Wow, that's amazing that the grips were totally replaced with a different model on the Mountain Express at Boyne. It almost looks like that's the Agamatic grip instead of the AK 400. I wonder how much work that was to install new derailers, switches and zones?

Way to show midwest skiing love. I hope to do some midwest skiing myself before Jan (CO skiing) followed by Feb. and March in the alps.

Of course I love skilifts too, which is why I'm here. I'd like to learn more about them and maybe work in the Ski industry later on in life.

Let it snow.

I dont think the grips are agamatic because they have a different look from the back than the agamatic ones. my guess is that they were custom made. to fit into the existing terminal design without modification. someone should ask dopp about the subject.

The old grips were this style, right?

They look like they would fit into the same terminals, with the depression roller on the opposite side from where it usually is on the new style grip

it was windy on the north face so skiing on the orange lift was a good way to warm up. plus there was powder!
