There are some Montaz Mautino chairlifts in Quebec. Montaz Mautino is a french skilift Manufacturer. Pierre Montaz was an employee of Pomagalski. After some years, he started is own compagny with Victor Mautino ... and a licence yielded by Poma. During 1970-1989 period, this compagny was a very important one in France and installed also detatchable chairlifts, gondolas and aerials trams. In Quebec, they built with Samson, some skilifts : one at Le Valinouët (3C) and another at Stoneham (4C). After 1989, they had some financials problems and Poma entered in their capital (above 20 %) and Gimar brought them and it become Gimar Montaz Mautino (GMM). They did not build gondolas, detachable chairlifts and aerial trams any more. Today, they build above 2 fixed grip chairlifts and many surface lifts and detachable surface lifts, exclusively in France.

Now, some photos of the 3C at Le Valinouët (Falardeau, QC), a resort proud to offer 100 % of natural snow.

The photos are from ZoneSki.com and valinouet.qc.ca, but I will add some from me this winter !

Nice pictures and a nice looking lift. Still very modern looking, considering it is now over 20 years old. The chair design predates Yan's similar design for its HSQ's by a few years, I think.
