Hi,
I have been doing a considerable amount of work on the "rope tow" (started the "help with my rope tow" topic), actually it has turned in to a poma lift pretty much. Any how, I'm Now looking for the handles on those types of lifts. Could someone point me in the rigt ditrection on where to find them and Price? (looking for about 25)
Also If anyone has detailed pictures (up close or anything that will help me out) of the handles, could you post them. Any Ideas on makeing them are welcome also. Basicly the hardest part about them is getting them attached to the hual rope.
Thanks,
Alex
Any Idea On where I Can Buy some of those surface lift handles?

Hi Alex
You probably want to get ahold of Borer, but it appears that their handles are designed for only a certain type of rope diameter. It will probably be difficult to find handles that will fit your wire rope exactly unless you haven't purchased one yet.

I hope these are the pictures that you're looking for.

Maybe try www.resortboneyard.com. I have seen chairs for sale there, but there maybe a listing on there for Poma platters, or rope handles. I think it's just fun everyonce in a while to browse around on it a little and see whats for sale.
Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

seabreeze trading sells them. http://www.seabreezetrading.com/ Their site is done entirely in flash so I can not link you to the exact page but all you have to do is go to winter products, then lift operation, then retrofit lift handles. they have four different types to choose from.

The Meany Hut ski area operates with 2 rope tows and they have a section on their website dedicated to "nutcrackers" as they are called. The rope tow grippers that the expert tow riders use. Interesting reading....
