Why is it that everything "Russian" looking is pieced together and looks cheap.

Yea, so the box came out of an old Soviet submarine, but what about the "operator house" - a nice red table and chair!! Can we say "More Vodka - Nastrovia!!"

Since I ride a Russian bike I am VERY familiar with their technology. It seems that the way their companies work is they make it work, then any more advancements stop. Their equipment always look older then they actually are because they build with 'old' technology. If it works, why change it...... My motorcycle is a 1997 but made with 1950 technology (kick start, air cooled, cable/drum brakes)... The new bikes they build today have advanced as much as adding electric start and a front disk brake, but the rest is pretty much the same as their WWII bikes. The country is pretty much a mess these days so I'm not sure how much chairlift building has been going on, but if they were to install a lift I could guarantee it would be 1970's technology.
