Wax 'Em Up! Crystal Mountain To Open Friday

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN - Get your ski gear ready! Crystal Mountain says it's opening its slopes on Friday.
That will make it the ski resort's earliest opening in a decade and the first resort in Washington state to open this year.
Crystal spokeswoman Tiana Engers says about two feet of snow have accumulated near the summit, and about ten to 12 inches have fallen at the base.
She says managers will decide later Tuesday afternoon how many lifts will run on the first day.
Ski resorts operators throughout the Cascades have been thrilled by the snow that's fallen in recent days. Last year's warm, dry winter doomed the ski season for most resorts.
