Hey just seeing where everyone was going this season. I'm probably going to Copper, Breck, and Winter Park.

Isn't it odd that "politics" is made up of the word "poli" meaning many, and "tics" meaning blood-sucking creatures?

Hopefully everywhere, but in reality I probably won't travel much this year with my dad taking a new job. Instead I will spend another season finding out just about everything at kirkwood, a few days at mammoth and june and some days up at north lake, squaw, sugar bowl, alpine and rose. Let the snow fall!

Of course I love skilifts too, which is why I'm here. I'd like to learn more about them and maybe work in the Ski industry later on in life.

Let it snow.

I'll be at heavenly for most of the time because we have passes there, but we will take a trip or two to mammoth, I will have at least two days at kirkwood, and maybe one other place TBD.

I'm going on another big ski trip this year.

Here's a list of the areas that I will be going to:

Bogus Basin
Tamarack
Brundage
Schweitzer (yes, I will get pictures of Stella)
Silver Mountain
Red Mountain (Maybe say hi to Allan if I can find him)
Big White
Silver Star
Sun Peaks
and possibly some others like Apex, Mission Ridge, Crystal Mountain and Fernie (kind of far to go to). But the ones listed above are for sure since we have hotel reservations. As for next year, I might be heading back to Colorado to do some skiing at Vail, Winter Park, Telluride, etc.

As long as people don't decide to start bombing like last year in Beruit, I'm gonna head to Lebanon http://www.skileb.com
Then when I get back to Portland for a couple weeks R&R, as long as it's not a season like last year, I'll be up on Hood.
In Kuwait in search of snow worldwide

If you're going to be up in BC, you have to check out Whitewater at least for one day - only about 45 minutes from Red. Its a great little mountain with lots of great out of bounds stuff that'll keep you smiling days after. Take Allan with you - I'm sure he can get you in touch with some locals who know where the great powder stashes are hidden. Plus, a post-ski dip in nearby Ainsworth Hot Springs and dinner in the funky city of Nelson is a teriffic way to end the day before the drive back to Rossland and Red.

As for myself, a post New Year's ski week at Big Mountain/Whitefish has already been booked. If I can get motivated enough to actually drive somewhere on that trip I might check out Turner Mountain (a community run hill with one chairlift and 2000' vertical) near Libby. Otherwise over the winter I'll most likely be found at some of the Canadian Rockies areas (Sunshine, Marmot, Kicking Horse, Panorama). Fortress Mountain, in Kananaskis Country, is opening up again with new management so I'll have to go give that place some love and some of my hard earned bucks as well!

Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, Brighton (of course!)
I'm going to try to take two trips this year (up from none last year) one to Bridger Bowl and one that has to be done to get on the Jackson Hole Tram one more time. Anyway hope that this year is as good as last and to be skiing before Halloween like last year.

I'll be doing the usuals here in the east:

Mt. Sunapee (My home stomping ground)
Okemo
Killington
Pico
Sugarbush
Sugarloaf
Sunday River
Attitash
Cranmore
Cannon
Loon
Crotched
Stratton
Bromley
and anything else I can fit in.

I have seasons passes to Killington, Pico, Attitash, Mount Snow, Sunday River, Sugarloaf, Burke, Jay Peak, Crotched, Mt Sunapee, Okemo, and Crested Butte, so I might have to take advantage of some of those. As well as many college discounts and free tix at some of the other areas listed. Trust me, I can get to many different places in one season.
Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

Anywhere I can get to. But it will mostly be A-basin, Vail, and BC, with a little bit at Breck and Keystone.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

I've heard of this place called Copper, which apparently no-one else has, so maybe I'll go check it out, see what it's all about.

Seriously, though, probably Loveland, A-basin, and Monarch. Maybe Winter Park; it's on the Copper employee pass but it's quite a drive from my house.
