Depends upon manufacturer and quality of maintenance. There are Riblets and Halls built in the 1960s that are still running just fine. There are (or were) Yans built in the 1980s that were replaced in the 1990s. The Poma detachables built with the TB grips in the 1980s should see a pretty long lifespan. The oldest continually operating lift I know of is Baker's chair 1, which was first spun in December of 1952.
