Hi all !!!

I have been given the oppurtunity to take over the mechnical end of our ski operations. Sense I am the Mechanical Manager for the resort, they thought it best to add the rest. I know nothing about the ski operations except what I have been reading and what my maintenance tech. has been filling me in on. Hopefully I will be getting together next week with Sam Geisse (some of you may know him) and go over this information. But I need help in the direction of Chair Lift Maintenance, Operations & Inspections, Chair Lift Evacuations, Snow Making, Groomer Maintenance etc.... Anybody else out there to help? Txs..

Welcome to the forum.

We have a pretty diverse gang of individuals here, so hopefully someone should be able to help you out.

Wow- that's quite an added responsibility. What do you need/want to know? What kind of lifts do you have? Are there any resorts/ski areas nearby that you might be able to tour with their maintenance guys, just to see how things are done? I've been a mechanic for almost nine years and I know only that I've got a lot more to learn. That's not meant to worry you, just to point out how much there is going on with lifts.
