Even here in Edmonton about 5 hours from Fort Macmurray i've recently seen McDonalds advertising $9.50 for night shift. It may seem like a dream to make $14/hr but housing costs are insane, if you don't live in a work camp trying to find a small house can easily run you $400 000.

The best paying entry level jobs I have found are during the summer in Alaska for the cruise ship season. A bonus is that it is the exact opposite season from skiing. Most of the seasonal jobs here start between $14/hr-$20/hr, and many of them are tipped posistions.

Don't forget the nice art in the park and the great little shops and such. An awesome spot to see all of Paris

Yep and incredible food in the cafes up top. My other favorite part of Paris has to be the Latin Quarter on the Right bank allong Boulevard St. Michael. Lots of great food, lodging, shopping and within walking distance of most of the major attractions and landmarks All of it is really reasonably priced since its where La Sorbonne, the major Parisian university is located.

For any fans of the deadliest catch, several of the crab boats that are part of the crab fishing fleet up here in alaska have been in Ketchikan rescently. I think that they have been working as ferry vessels for the salmon boats to get their catch into the processing plants so the fishing boats can continue to fish. Here is a picture of the Rollo, based out of Seattle, tied up to the back side of the cruise ship dock here in Ketchikan.

I'm a big fan of Deadliest Catch and that's cool you got to see the Rollo. Have you seen any of the other ships beside the Rollo like the Time Bandit, Northwestern, Maverick, etc?

My cousin Vince just caught a 27 pound Tuna fish when I was with him on Catalina Island.

The Northwestern and the Maverick have been through, I saw them last year but I have missed them so far this year.

I saw it, and it was a lot better than I expected it to be. If snakes aren't your thing then it'll be pretty scary, but for everyone else it's just funny. Samuel L Jackson's world famous line isn't till near the end though, I was worried it wasn't gonna be in the movie

Changing colors from the top of Indianhead. The pics do no justice as to how nice the view really is this time of year. They were taken during disc golf league that goes on on thursdays.
