I've never heard of a mountain chicken! Good pic for a cell phone cam!

They're really called rock ptarmigan, we just call 'em mountain chickens.

Allan, our birds will chase you when you're riding a buggy in the morning, and they will come after you when you're on foot too!! Crazy bastards with no fear!

My random, pointless picture. Just think it looks cool at 38,000.

This makes me wonder why I've never took a plane since I was 4. And I can waste hours browsing airliners.net...

You know that you miss airplanes/flying when you tear up at the sound of 2 JT8D's spooling up

(Note, the pilots did not do a good job with the auto-sync of the engines as is obvious when they get off the ground)

Yeah, thats the joys of sitting right next to the rear mounted engine <grin> I love it! On the outside at idle, the MD-88 (Nicknamed Mad Dog) is one of the most quiet jets you'll hear. Compare this one to the MD-90 Take off with more modern and slightly more powerful engines.

Thanks, liftmech. That was always one of my favorite morning colors!
