The gondola at Aspen has a design unlike any other in Colorado, or for that matter, pretty much anywhere in America. Instead of doors, sections of the car itself swing open like eggshells and passengers sit back-to-back instead of facing each other. My question is, what is Poma's name for that particular design and are there any others like it anywhere in the world? Also, if you have any info at all about this design, post it here.

If i'm not mistaken there are a number of other examples of this style in the world however i do not know what model they are other than they were a design that came out in the mid 80s.

There have only been two POMA gondolas in North America with these cabins, Silver Queen at Aspen and M.A.R.T in New Orleans. However, M.A.R.T was removed.

That's weird, I thought it was designed specifically so that I could leave roaches strategically placed atop the bar separating the two sides of the cabin where they can't be seen for subsequent retrieval and consumption. Maybe that's just me.
