Hello. I have a question. In the 1970 lift installation survey it mentions a ski resort known as magic carpet located in California. However, i have never heard of that ski area. Is that a typo or is there a magic carpet ski area? I have heard of magic mountain ski area but never magic carpet ski area. Is it suppossed to be magic mountain ski area in California?

SAM lists it as Magic Carpet and it's near Nordon. It's probably a closed area or it changed names and I couldn't find the new name. You would be suprised of how many ski areas have changed their name over the years. Mt. Reba is now Bear Valley, Goldmine is now Big Bear, Holiday Hill is now Mountain High, Ski Sundown is now the closed Iron Mountain ski area, China Peak is now Sierra Summit, etc.
