Green Valley is a small ski area near Snow Valley by Running Springs. As I remember, it has one double chair and two surface lifts.
It hasn't been open for several years now. It was bought by a local church about 5 years ago, but they say that insurance is too costly to purchase to open the resort.
Before being bought by the church, it was run as Big Air Green Valley Snowboard Park and was only open to snowboarders (no skiers allowed) ... this was in the mid to late 90s.

Hey Ski Dude,
Green Valley was purchased in Nov 2005 from Calvary Chapel by me and a friend. We changed the name to Trinity Mountain Resort. Go to http://www.trinitymountainresort.com for more info. We are excited to get the resort open. All we need is about a foot more natural snow and we will be ready to open. We took out the rope tow but certified the poma and the riblet. We are working on snowmaking for next season. We have some great changes planned for the future.

Don't let your insurance carrier see that picture!

How soon do you think you will be able to get the ski area open. I don't think you will be able to this year but what about next year. This is the only operating ski area in so cal I have not been to yet. Let me know when you get it open and I will be sure to come up.
