I was at an antiques shop today and saw a Riblet centerpole chair. The lady told me that it was a 1966 Riblet from Park City. Any ideas as to what this lift could be?

Would have to be from Park West / Wolf Mountain / The Canyons. The Canyons has a 1965 Riblet still standing. It could have been from the (The Canyons-named) Condor double, or some other old lift that was at Park West / Wolf Mountain that The Canyons removed

By using the great database that Cameron has compiled I was able to find out this much. From the records on this site and mine as well it looks like no Riblets werre ever installed at PCMR or Deer Valley making it llok like that the chair in question is from the predisessor of the Canyons Park West or Wolf Mountain as Tyler previously metioned. It could be from the old Condor double or the old Snow Canyon double although I have niether an installation or a removal date for either of those although I would suspect that Condor would have been removed before the Super Condor Express was installed in 1998 and the Snow Canyon lift before the Snow Canyon Express was installed in 1997. Sorry that I can't help you any more then this but the only other Utah resort that I can remember that used Riblets extensively is Brighton.

Where was this antiques shop? You're in Breckenridge now, so there are plenty of Riblets between Vail and Breck that it could have been as well.

All of the Riblets used at Vail have been side-bar doubles. Breckenridge formerly used all center-bar doubles, all of their Riblets have new side-bar chairs replaced within the past 5 years.

I had forgotten about Vail's carriers. Could still be from Breck, especially since they replaced all their centre-pole chairs recently.

Breck still has a pile of center pole chairs laying arround in the trees off the mountain from chair 4 and 6. The only ones at breck that were not originaly center poles were 7 and E.
