When I was skiing at LL a guy I met on the mountain was telling me about an info web site for a new ski area called Climax Peak and I just found the napkin I wrote the address on and went to the site. It is very non specific about location although it seems to have alot of financial backing. I was just wondering if anyone else has heard about this and if anyone might have some more information? Or maybe it is not a serious proposal?

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

 • Interests:yo, my name is Christian, and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (Berkeley ....sort of) skiing is what I do best, and I love the mountains. Of course I love skilifts too, which is why I'm here. I'd like to learn more about them and maybe work in the Ski industry later on in life.

Let it snow.

Wow I hope they do have a lot of money. A 12 person gondola w/ 4 mid stops, 3 HSE's 3 HSS and a fixed grip six? 100% snowmaking and nightskiing? 7 am-5 am operating hours? wow!

Is this some type of stupid joke?

A) Climax Peak
B) Where skiers CUM to have fun (what the hell?)
C) The site is hosted on some free sever
D) 100% snow making with a gondola with four midstations? This doesn't make any sense.

I think this is a Hoax. I will contact my friends at L-P and D-C to find out if this true since I'm having a hard time trying to figure it out. I have also never read anything in SAM about this, while the other planned ski resorts I have.

In Canada there isn't much market. Look at Fortress it's went upside down because nobody visited it. Jumbo Glacier looks to be the next big resort if there is to be one. If successful it'll be more extensive than whistler.

Cameron, I was wondering about the same things, it sounded kind of ridiculous but I didn't know if someone may have heard something I hadn't.

Sounds like a bunch of high schoolers having too much fun thinking about skiing and sex at the same time. Is that even possible, a gondola with four midstations? The email address is from Yahoo, no real mountain has company Yahoo addresses. No way this is real

Yeah, that hasd to be the most obvious fake resort I've ever seen. The name, the "cum"... wow, that is really immature. The sad thing is that some people actually thought that it was a real ski resort. The people who started that site could get in trouble.

No, but if someone e-mails them, and they give them false directions or something, they could get sued... Probably would'nt ever happen though.
