I'm sure that there has been a thread on this in the past, but what lift is it? So far the longest I've seen is the Slide Brook Express at Sugarbush in Vermont. This HSQ doesn't have to be a ski lift or service any terrain, I just want to know which one it may be.

I think the Gem Lake @ Big White is/was the longest in Canada (North America?)

telluride's sunshine express by doppelmayr used to be the longest in the world. but i think it lost that status in like 1992 or 3.

Damn throw a couple of thousand feet on that and you got the distance from sea level to the top Mount Rainier (14,410FT).

It's a one of kind ride. The lift connects Sugarbush North (Mt. Ellen) with Sugarbush South (Lincoln Peak). Skiers/riders board the lift at either end and the trip takes about 12 minutes. Riding from Sugarbush North (Mt. Ellen) the lift goes up, then down, then up, then down, then up again, and finally down one more time. It has 102 chairs, spaced about every 200 ft. and 40 towers, 12 of which are compression towers. It's worth the $65 ticket to ride it when it's open.

Of course I love skilifts too, which is why I'm here. I'd like to learn more about them and maybe work in the Ski industry later on in life.

Let it snow.

$65 just to ride the lift, or 65 for a lift ticket for all the lifts?

Gem lake is still to my knowlege the longest HSQ in Canada. It's just over 8000 ft long.

Here's one to wet your appetite. I have others, but I'm reserving those for when Bill and John get a chance to upload them to the site. The weird thing about the whole set up is that driving south towards the resort you can see both sides of the ski area (Sugarbush North and Sugarbush South), and they are literally 2 miles away from each other. It's hard to believe that there is a lift that connects them.

What about The "Le Express De Sud" at Mont-Sainte-Anne, QUE?? How long is that? Or what about The High Lonesome Express or Olympia Express Quads at Winter Park, CO?? How long are they?

Well, I can take a guess on the shortest one: The "First Time" Express at Park City, UT.

Comparitively speaking those lifts are only between 5000 and 7000 feet long.

That lift is only 10,500 feet long. It's still a very long lift.
