Here's an article about Sugar Bowl's CTEC gondola that appeared in SAM. However, this lift isn't really a CTEC, rather it's a Heinz 57 mix. CTEC tower heads and tension system, Doppelmayr accelerator and deccelerator system and Von Roll grips. The towers were reused and are Herons.

Enjoy

Very cool. Now I wouldn't go as far as saying its smooth but it is a nice gondola. Of note is that 1 tubular steel tower was installed by CTEC just before the tracks and the tunnel for the tracks. Its a hold down followed quickly by an old latice heron tower in the common 80's CTEC fassion with a hold down then support for steep angles.

 • Interests:yo, my name is Christian, and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (Berkeley ....sort of) skiing is what I do best, and I love the mountains. Of course I love skilifts too, which is why I'm here. I'd like to learn more about them and maybe work in the Ski industry later on in life.

Let it snow.

All I remember about that gondola is how loud it is when the cars go over the towers.
