I was just curious if anyone knows what happened to the M.A.R.T Gondola that crossed over the Mississippi River in New Orleans?

The lift was installed by POMA in 1984 and its towers were 350 feet tall. I have a feeling that it was removed since I can't find anything about it.

Thanks Todd, the first link isn't related to MART since those boats are called gondolas too. However, the second one is and it mentions how the gondola no longer runs, so it probably was removed. It's too bad that all these lifts that are built for World Fairs are removed only a short time after. It just seems like a waste of money if the gondola can't be used for future purposes.
