this summer looks to be a busy one in the lift construction front. Here in NM Santa fe is finally, after a 8-9 year court battle, going to build the the deception peak chair the line was cut the week after they closed. In colorado snowmass, winter park and bevercreek will be getting some new stuff too. (I will try to get picks of the Bevercreek project as I am working for Doppelmayr on it this summer) elsewere I am more in the dark my boss said that doppelmayr had 10 contracts this summer. I know the specifics on only two. 1. Bevercreek is getting a fourth UNI-G 2. a new semi-private resort called Spanish Peaks is getting a HSQ 2FG 2Platters 1 carpet beside these two I only know that there are a few projects around lake Tahoe. So if anyone has herd word of other improvement speak up

There was a thread a little while ago about this summer's plans for various resorts.

Nothing at Mammoth this year. We were going to replace our chair 9 but could not get the permits soon enough. We are doing a major remodel of the main lodge this summer, otherwise maintenance as normal.
I don't understand it
I've cut it twice and it is still too short

Yep, the green run is going in down to the bottom. Double the fun in the Triangle Trees, can't wait. Just gives people more opportunities to ride it. I'll always ride the new Sultan instead of Wasatch for a while. I wonder if they've sold Sultan off

chair 9 really needs to be replaced. That ride is really unbearibly long! Also, I have been wondering what the chair that is to the right of broadway is for. It has always been closed, and on the trail map on the mammoth website, it doesnt even bring up information on it. Is this lift meant just for competitions or something like that??

26 is for the racers and the race course. Ive seen it run a few times but not for the general public. Chair 9 isnt really that bad. Its a long lift but since people generally know how to ride a lift its not so much stop and go. I think a high capicity lift will ruin that side of the mountain but its going to happen

Coronet Peak in New Zealand is building a new Poma six pack right now, their summer. Is this another new design for the Omega terminal? Everything else looks proportional except the lift. Maybe it's just the camera angle though

I was wondering the same thing too, but this proves that L-P did change the Omega terminal design to make it look more like the old Challenger design. In the last issue of SAM, there is a picture of the Little Spruce Express at Stowe and it has the same style of terminal. Who knows, maybe L-P is offering two kinds of high-speed lift terminals like Dopp-CTEC.

Speaking of SAM magazine, I know its off topic, but Cameron what was the last issue you received? I renewed and I haven't seen one in a couple of months.

What other Poma high speeds are going in this summer, so we can see more pics of the new type? I guess it'll grow on me, like the stack, and the big fat one (Ajax Express)

Darn it. It looks like they are giving up on the stack. I liked that one better.

The stack left last year, and it was replced by the extra-fat drive terminal. I hope this one gets redone next year too. It does look a ton like the Challenger, especially like the older type with the flat ends

Mt Hutt NZ is also putting in a L-P sixpack and relocating a dopp quad in the process the resot is going from 7 t-serface lifs and two chairs to a HSS and FGQ and one carpet talk about a redo. Cornet is owned by the same group so it is little suprise that boath lifts are identical. Here are some pix from nzski.com they update often so there should be somthing new every day. One is the web came at 1:25 MTN time usa, the other is splice work on the quad

Snowbird is the only resort that I've heard is doing anything besides Deer Valley which has been described above. Snowbird is planning on doing the dirt work for the new Peruvian and is going to finsish up the new logde in Gad Valley that they have already done the foundation on. For all who want to know its right where the old Gad I return house was. Solitude may do Moonbeam Express I don't know

The resort I'm working on is going to finsih all the details this summer and then put a buissness plan in in the fall and hopefully get funding for construstion in the summer.

I've never gotten a chance to really check out that backside area. Is there any really good terrain there?
