This magazine is now bankrupt and no longer in business – Forum Admin

Well guys, it appears that SAM has a new competitor in the market and it's called Mountain Resort Magazine. The first issue will be released in June of this year. Posted Image

I don't know if I missed this from that article, but is ther a way to subscribe to this thing or what. It looks like a good magazine, not packed with ads like SAM, although I do like SAM, but the older editions were better when they did spec pages for specfic lifts, with diagrams, etc.

Mountain Resort Magazine has yet to decide whether the magazine will be available to the public or not. I e-mailed them yesterday and their response was that they would know in a month.

Hey guys, I'm the publisher for this thing.

So far I'd say yes, if you want a sub I'll kick one to you. We did alright, got some friends out there.

I worked in lifts in the 80s for a while before moving departments a few times, and honestly, I need good info on some stuff: who's building, what they're putting in, why they chose it over the other choice - that's kind of a joke but not really - two companies is going to make it strange.

We are real new, I wrote for Sam for a while, about everyone else before that, and it's going to be a year or more before we can approach their scope because no one's going to take the time to let us know, we have to go dig it up.

You keep me in the loop, and I'll keep you in mags. If you're interested tell me who you are, what you do, and your address. More than a few of these can easily fall off the truck.

I thought that was kind of funny when you e-mailed me back last night and said how you already knew about Skilifts.org and what it was about. I never knew you were a member until this post.
