Sheave Assembly Replacement / Upgrade

The guys over @ Snowbasin in Utah are replacing a sheave assembly on tower 18 of the Strawberry Express. They are converting it to a combo assembly. The haul rope floats when there are no cabins on the line.

Here are the pics and someone else can explain what is going on in each pic.

Photo 1- haul rope has been removed from the sheaves and chained to the tower, out of the way. #s 2-5- removing assembly. #6- the tower, before. #7- another shot of the chained-off haul rope. #8- another shot of assembly removal. For a similar thread, see http://www.skilifts....p?showtopic=788
