Grip Needles

Ok I've been meaning to ask this question for a while. I noticed it on the Magic Chair at Blackomb. It appears that the grip is crooked. What I mean is one of the grip needles can be seen sticking noticeably to the right while looking up while seated in the middle of the magic chair.

Yup. The older Yan grips' needles don't exactly lie stright on the haul rope. That's from years of getting squished to the side by the depression sheaves. They're not a permanent part of the grip like most other FG grips; they're attched by large rivets.
