I've noticed on almost every HSQ and HSS there is a big gap between the last chair and the first chair. On fixed grip lifts every chair is spaced almost the same. Is there a reason there is a gap between the 1st and last chair on a HS lift?

I've only seen a large gap on a few chairlifts, and those were lifts with an odd number of chairs.
