Those are great photos. Is it really faster than most detachable-grip chairlifts?

Weather looks great! It was very poor at Holiday Valley (just south of Buffalo, New York) this weekend. :)

I can easily say that it's the fastest Detachable i've ever been on.

Do you happen to know what the line speed is? I think most are around 5 m/sec, no?

This one is maybe a bit slower, like 4 or 4.5 m/s.

They finally re-installed the "Flèche d'argent - 68" logo, or I was blind the last time I went??

Of course I love skilifts too, which is why I'm here. I'd like to learn more about them and maybe work in the Ski industry later on in life.

Let it snow.

The speed up on Comet at heavenly is like that....except for it has a really long station, and when you get on the chair you just sit there going very slow for about 5-7 seconds, then at the last second it shoots you out. WHen I look up right after I sit down I see that the chairs are coming off the chain-driven turnaround and on to wheels, so I'm guessing thats why it needs a little extra time to start speeding up???
