Of course I love skilifts too, which is why I'm here. I'd like to learn more about them and maybe work in the Ski industry later on in life.

Let it snow.

This winter has certainly been all or nothing for the west coast....either 10 foot base or closed due to lack of snow. Go tahoe!! I hope a few of the resorts use this opportunity to stay open late this year. Heavenly has already extended the daily ops. into May 1st.

Baker and Crystal have re-opened. Crystal is in limited ops (3, 6 for Powder Bowl only, 8, 9, 10, 11) but it sounds promising; Baker is in full operations till the 17th and then it's back to weekends only until the snow runs out.

Well some people that say they've been talking to the Mammoth mtn ops say they may try to run all the way through the 4th of July. Squaw has said they will run at least through memorial day and Alpine should be right there with them if not run longer. Dodge is closing the 10th, Bear Valley the 17th along with Rose. Northstar will probably close the 17th or next weekend and Sierra may run one extra. Hopefully Sugar Bowl will be open through the 24th because thats the end of my spring break and I'd like a bit more than Squaw and Alpine. Go Snow!

Mt Baker, Crystal Mountain, Steven (retracted their season closing), Snoqualmie and White Pass have finally opened. Funny thing is... 2 weeks ago some places had 0" and now they are up to 75". Crazy...

Well, one thing's for sure, the hiking trails up to the high peaks will be closed for quite awhile!
