Stevens Pass Alpine & Nordic - Closing for Season!

We gave it our best run, but the warm temperatures and rain have finally beaten us. We are thankful that we were able to run the lifts as much as we did this season and thank all of you for your support, encouragement and patronage. We will put this unprecedented season behind us and look ahead with all the enthusiasm that comes with renewed hope and excitement of a great season to come. Thank you again, and have a great spring and summer!

The Stevens Pass Staff

The snow in Colorado hasn't exactly been impressive, but then, it really is only about a month and a half until most resorts are closed, so I don't expect much. I hope I get in at least one more day of skiing. Might not happen though...

That sucks, we are looking at sking and riding to june at mammoth at least. Most resorts will close mid-april and a few (Squaw and Alpine) probably to memorial day, heavenly to the beginning of may and if kirkwood is cool they will be open at least weekends from mid-april to memorial day. Spring is going to be fun :)

I thought you were talking about going to White Pass?

I'm going to Bachelor in two weeks for spring break. However, my dad heard that it might not be open but I highly doubt it since there is still a lot of snow left. But Hoodoo and WP are pretty much closed. I think you can still ski at WP but the only lift open is the Eagle Peak Accelerator for summer operations. So it's a slow ride up.

Hey Bill now you know how it felt like the past 4 years before last year. This year has been the savior for us reallyand its been awesome we still got a 100inch base at certain resorts. So now that I've made you drool I send my deepest condolences out to all the NW skiers pit there for your poor season. No one deserves a season like this ever.

Colorado has had an interesting year, Places like Wolf Creek are at a 147" base and Powderhorn is at their largest base in years where as many of the other resorts like Breck have only rescently built up to 60". Do you think that the poor winter snow will affect summer skiing at Timberline? I was hoping to get up there this summer.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

Even the T-Line has pretty low base. I'd suggest going no later than June this year instead of waiting till July or August.

its been snowing all week in vermont. But because of the wind, all of the snow is in the trees. It sucks for people like my mom who refuse to ski trees, but for those of us who like the glades, its great. and oh yeah, I'm going up next week. 1 day @Kmart, 1 @ Sunapee, 3 @ Jay. anybody want pics?

sorry about being :offtopic:

Next to everywhere else, Utah is pretty awesome right now. 100+ bases all over the place. It's really warm (50s to 60s) but that just softens everything up and lets everyone to ski in T-shirts
