Possibly a late model SLI?
If it is in Europe I have no idea since there are so many manufacturers over there.

The return station kind of looks like an SLI but I don't think it is.

Actually, that looks like a Poma. The carriers and terminal don't look exactly like what we've got in the States, but the bottom of the carrier where the seat bolts on looks just like early 80s party. The grips also look like Poma products. SLI touted their 'maintenance-free' carrier; part of that was no bolts on the carrier. If you look at this one there are bolted joints everywhere.

I dunno. If there was a tower shot then we could tell for sure. The grips and hanger arms are different than other sli's.

I know but I have also seen about 5 or 10 SLI lifts and none have hanger arms or grips like that.

Now I'm not sure. I'm basing my answer completely off observation, while Craig has seen quite a few more lifts up close than I have :)

I still think the carriers are at least partly Poma, though.

I was flying through the posts yesterday and did not see the first photo of the skier getting off the lift. That looks like a early vintage Poma chair...teardrop shape...early grip prior to the spring cans that you see all over. I saw the SLI pic and thought that was what you were talking about! I do see tram cables in the background so that would eliminate around 100 or so locations leaving you with about 25 possible sites!
Good luck amigos!

Hey everyone...

Just my 2 cents...

Now from the original picture it would seem that this is somewhere in Europe?

If that is the case, I believe this is a Montaz Mautino early 80's version. I know for a while they were a close partner (subcontractor) with Pomagalski SA. I've never seen any top station with that configuration on a Poma... And the carriers don't look anything like SLI...

Anyways, feel free to comment!

If that's the case then the carriers are definitely Poma, and that explains the unfamiliar terminal.
