Umm Squaw to finally replace Links with a hsq. (I made this up but it needs to happen soon)

Mammoth may be replacing chair 9 with a low cap. hsq. This might not happen though if the mountain is sold.

I cant think of anything else except the forest service is supposed to remove chairs 3, 4 and 5 at Iron Mountain this summer. Sad stuff :(

I actually think they might. Don't hold me to that. I might be wrong. ;)

Looking ahead, 2005 is going to be a very busy year for Mad River Lifts. We are advertising for VERY QUALIFIED installers in various paper publications. Do you accept advertising on skilifts.org? If so, where does it appear on the site and how do we go about it? I would want to write the ad copy, but we have ongoing projects in Park City and a very large project in Jamaica (yes, mon, the island). We need experienced and motivated people. Long days, hard work, great team. For safety and many other reasons you can imagine, we can't train anyone. No learning curve here. Need top-notch folks.

The Mad River Lifts ad mentions 'ongoing projects in Park City.' Are they just doing the Sultan lift at DV this summer, or could that be for McConkey's?

I think they should rip out Sunnyside and Timberline, make a HSQ running from the current base of Sunnyside to the top of it/base of timberline, have a midstation for loading and unloading, turn it, then take it to the top of the Timberline. Oh, well.

Keep in mind there are two runs to the east side of Sunnyside that wouldn't be served round-trip by what you propose. Also the southern side of Parsenn drains into Sunnyside, and not Timberline, so putting a lift from the bottom of Sunnyside to the top of the bowl does make sense. I agree with everyone else that an HSS is overkill, but a lift in that alignment does make sense. The only issue I see is below the current bottom of Timberline, where with no lift everyone off Forget-me-not and points north will have to merge onto Edelweiss; that could clog it a bit.

Okay, that was just my idea. I don't know how traffic there works.
My life or my chocolate: Give me a minute, I'm thinking.

Isn't it odd that "politics" is made up of the word "poli" meaning many, and "tics" meaning blood-sucking creatures?
