Does anybody have any close-up pictures of the Girak detachable grip, it is one of the most unusual grips I have ever seen. Also, is it a double position grip like the Doppelmayr ones. Any info on the grip or any of Girak's lifts would be great. :D
Thanks

Girak, now that's a new name to me. A diagram would help, I would like to learn too.

That's great stuff. Is it double position like the Dopelmayr ones? ;)
And how does it work, does the roller on the outside go up and down opening and closing the grip? :help:

Yes, and I think it also has some type of torsion bar.

Am I right about how it works? And does anyone have any pictures of how it enters the terminal or the rails in the terminal?

Yes, you're right on how it works. Sorry, I don't have any pictures of the entry and exit rails since that stuff is pretty well hidden.

It does not apear that these grips have a torsion bar; the grip body looks better suited to having a stack of belleville washers like the DS grips. I'm guessing there is a hidden linkage inside that rubber boot that allows the lever on the outside to pull the grip jaw open.

I think that it might, or being that the "open" position is horizontal, I think it might push side of the grip opposite the detach stuff out, so it opens.

That makes. Sense. Not only can you not do a visual inspection of the grip without removing the cover, we can't take good pics! :)

Yea I know that, but there are a few things which might have that info in it and I was just curious if it was from the Conceptual Inputs book or some other book that has all the Doppelmayr stuff in it.

Has Girak installed any lifts in North America?

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.
