I guess you could say that's an easy way to make some money since AMB Tools will still have to pay you while you are a witness. I know companies have to do that for employees that are on jury duty, but then maybe it could be different for being a witness?

I saw almost the same thing happen a few years ago, a drunk driver hit a guy on a bike and he flew over the car and landed on his back while the drunk driver drove home with a smashed windshield. The guy ended up being fine but the driver lost his license.

I saw something like this about a month or so ago. However, it wasn't the drivers fault, but rather the biker. She was with a group of friends and they were ahead of her and decided to wait on the other side of the road. Instead of looking before she corssed the road, I guess she figured she had the right away or thought that there was a stop sign at that intersection. Anyway, the car hits her and she spins around and lands on her side. She also wasn't wearing a helment and could have been killed if the car hit her in the front and ran over her.

I almost had an experience like this when I was 8. We were in Tampa, evacuated from Hurricane Floyd in September 1998 (which just missed Florida, turning up the coast and throwing it's Category 5 winds onto South Carolina instead). We had gotten tickets from my parents' office to a Devil Rays (baseball) game, and after the game, we were walking to a parking lot across the street when a pink bus (called the Jolly Trolley) ran a red light and missed my brother, 5 or so at the time by about three feet. By a stroke of good luck, a police officer saw the whole thing pulled the obviously drunk bus driver over a block ahead

I have seen alot of these especially in fort collins. There are alot of people up here that dont follow traffic laws when on bikes and as a result there are alot of bike vs car accidents.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.
"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"
