I rode the Mardi Gras lift at Holiday Valley, I was 8 at the time, so I was a bit scared getting off.

I kept thinking "when it's going to slow down!"

Mine was the old PHB Hall Skycruiser Goldola at Loon, maybe 1984. Now the current Doppelmayr is getting old. Makes me feel old. I'd like to go see it again in Minnesota someday.

It's not so much nostalgic as it is scary, now.

Mine was in 1987 (???) Wizard at Blackcomb followed about 8 minutes later by Solar Coaster. After so many years at Grouse, the acceleration out of the station was amazing. That was the year I got my drivers licence and my first seasons at Blackcomb (for $189 !!!).

Amazing that they are over 20 years old now. Question for those in the know, what is the life span of a HSQ and what makes a replacement needed?

Must have been one of the HSQ's @ Telluride in the early 90's.
