Doesn't Red Cloud use the same motor room? I know Crown Point had a new one. And I thought Crown Point had the tension terminal off Carpenter, it's got a counterweight while the other two lifts installed that year have hydraulic tensioning

They put some Yan chairs on the Judge lift? When I was there at Christmas, they were all CTEC chairs (not all matched up or anything, the number stickers were way off and a select few chairs had backrest pads)
I think they made the best of the four quads at the top of Flagstaff by having Silver Strike (pics here) fly over the main crowds and end up on a hill behind the rest. I was woried it would be dumping everyone right next to Quincy (although for the amount of people that were riding it, it doesn't seem to be much of a problem yet)

I guess we can expect another UNI-GS then for the Sultan Express? (do they just not care about experts at all, that green run would put a whole bunch of beginners over there that shouldn't be there)

That suprises me that DV would even consider purchasing a Leitner-POMA because the only lifts that DV has bought in the past are all part of the Doppelmayr CTEC empire. However, maybe L-P contacted DV and gave them a bid?

They could have been playing Doppelmayr CTEC to give them a better deal on it by looking at LP, they wouldn't want to lose a pretty loyal customer. And it wouldn't make much sense for DV to introduce a whole different type of lift, they would have to get new spare parts, train more mechanics, etc

Deer Valley does seem to be a loyal customer to the Dopp/gara/ctec family. Considering the have no L-Ps you would definitely assume a Dopp/Ctec. BTW, what is the UNI-GS? Is that just the stealth?

Once lifts are removed, they can be sold to other areas and reinstalled at a new mountain (or on the same mountain)

I was talking with some folks from the Deer Crest Development today the Rosevelt Gap (area above snowpark lodge @ DV towards Deer Crest) project is back on. Work has not started up again but it should resume this spring and part of the project is a Funitel from the snowpark area up to the hotel. It won't be going in this summer but mabye next year?

A funitel is a complete waste and overkill for something like that I think. But hey, if they want to waste their money on something like that, let them. They will just have to learn the hard way. :---:

A funitel from Snow Park to the hotel would be really awesome but it would be about a 1 minute ride with about 10 cabins, the biggest waste of money in history. If they were going to install any lift there, maybe a pulse gondola, or even putting Sultan there when the high speed quad goes in (which I hear is a definite now, as are the runs going down to it from Wasatch and Mayflower)
The Deer Crest guy, did he seem to know what he was talking about? Maybe he heard 'funicular' because that might make a little more sense
