hi, thank you for the help. I clicked on the link you provided and read the text. It focuses on amusement park rides. Do ski lifts fall into that category, or do more specific regulations exist? Should I read this text differently? I am not a professional in this area. thanks, again.

for what it is worth. Most of hte colorado ski areas shot down the idea for all lifts to have safety bars. (colorado tramway board). I personally don't think they prevent u from falling off the lift. If that is what they are trying to do they should just install the holds down that are used on roller coasters.....

That would probably go over less well.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.
"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

That is amusing when I imagine it. I think that they can help prevent you falling off the lift to some degree, often provide a footrest, and aslo give some people peace of mind.
My life or my chocolate: Give me a minute, I'm thinking.
Isn't it odd that "politics" is made up of the word "poli" meaning many, and "tics" meaning blood-sucking creatures?
