Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

I have never seen latice towers on a lift in Colorado. Other than Silver Queen are there any others still in use?

The Silver Bullet Gondola at Steamboat has lattice towers in a few spots and so did the old gondolas at Vail. :)

Doppelmayr will place a section of lattice tower at the bottom of very tall towers. That's their method of doing a multi-stage tower. Normally they will build the whole tower as the larger-size tube, unlike Poma, but on the really tall ones it's lighter to do a section of lattice.

I assume your talking about Campground at Snowmass. It had tubes. I think it had halos - I don't really remeber, I haven't been back to snowmass since Feb '01.

Does anyone know where the West lift ran at Sunlight?
I was reading some back issues of The Colorado Skier and there was a reference to the removal of that lift and elimination of a few runs.
