This is the Edelbahn Express at Edelweiss in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.

It is a Doppelmayr Quad Detachable.

That's definately a vintage lift. Judging by the chairs it must not have been to long after quicksilver @ breck

When did Dopp start using that grip design?
That design is different from that of the Quicksilver.
Also do you know how fast that lift operates at?
The Quicksilver seemed fast when it was installed at 750fpm but now it seems really slow.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

I believe it was installed around 1986 or so. I think the line speed is around 5 m/s. It takes about 4 minutes 45 seconds to get to the top.

Mont Saint-Sauveur in the Laurentiens has 2 of these model chairlifts. They also have the new Fleche d'Argent Doppelmayr which i think is less than 4 years old. It's small, compact and fast. Asceleration and Deceleration is really fast and sudden.
