[Kicking Horse]

While i was @ Solvista on 1-2-05 I was able to get a tour of the QuickDraw Express lift. I have a ton of short video's that i took and a ton of pictures that I will upload. I will be placing a link to the video download area on my server. They are in the AVI file format. Windows media Player should be able to handle it. (i hope).

Once i get done with the coverting of the video's and get them uploaded i will place the link here. A big thanks to Solvista Ski Area for letting me do this.

I don't have fast enough internet to sit down and watch them all at once. It takes time for them to load so I still have to finish the rest off. But I like how you recorded the PTO belts and stuff to show how they work and what they do.

My camara does not do sound. :( what do u expect from a camara that is only 100 bucks. The main puropse of the video's is the mech stuff of the lifts.

Hey, thanks for the great videos and photos! Just a question... is the gearmotor shown in file base-4-mech.avi the motor which changes speed to control the spacing of the chairs on the main rope?

i call it the spacing motor. So i guess it would be.

it stops the chair or speeds the chair to adjust for spacing. I think Liftmech, Ryanb could better explain it. ---

Neat pictures. I assume all the pictures fromt the bottom terminal have the hoods open as it's a leintnercake. Also in the shot with the bullwheel you can see it's speed decrease drastically likely due to a slowing for a fallen skier. Is the tensioning at the top or bottom?

At the bottom station, even though it doesn't look like it but if you see the pictures I took of this lift over the summer, you can see it. A pretty interesting setup too.

the chaired slowed due to a skier failed to move quick enough to load the chair. And yes the covers were open.
