3 lifts at reduced capacity--

Skyliner –Dop detachable - electric motor failure – running on diesel auxiliary
Pine Martin – Dop detachable – DC drive failure – running on diesel auxiliary
Rainbow – Long YAN triple – gearbox problems – see attachment

The operators were extremely lucky with the evac time as Rainbow chair fills up after 11:00 due to its location.

I noticed on Mt. Bachelor's website that Rainbow was closed yesterday and thought it was kind of odd. It's kind of weird that everything would get plaqued at once too. It kind of reminds me of a few years ago when Bachelor had that power problem and all the lifts were running on auxiliary, not fun.

Anyway, it sounds like Pine Marten is going to be replaced next year with a high-speed six-pack.

Rainbow = 1979 Yan triple = 475 gearbox? I've noticed it's the 250s that seem to fail. Of course, that is a long lift, so perhaps the box is running closer to capacity than the one on our '79 double.
